Dr. Husted’s Education and Experience

Dr. Evan Husted, M.D., MPH, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician who lives in Queen Village, South Philadelphia. Evan was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Delaware County. He started his education receiving a BA in Psychology with a focus on Neuropharmacology from American University. Later, Dr. Husted graduated from the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Evan Husted finished his Emergency Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2011. From 2011 to 2016, he worked as an Emergency Department attending physician at Virtua Marlton Hospital. While at Virtua Marlton, he earned a Master’s degree in Public Health at the Jefferson College of Population Health in 2015. From 2017 until 2022, he worked as a provider at multiple Urgent Care clinics for Atlanticare in South Jersey.

He has since opened Mindstream Medicine in Philadelphia, a private practice providing psychedelic assisted therapy by method of ketamine infusion and injection. Dr. Husted’s independent ketamine therapy clinic allows an elevated level of attention and care. This patient focused approach has provided many suffering from chronic depression and anxiety a new sense of hope for their individualized treatment success.

Passion for Mental Health

Throughout his career, Dr. Husted has maintained a consistent passion in mental healthcare. This passion sparked his enthusiasm for the potential of psychedelic medicines to provide relief for chronic mental health disorders. He is particularly excited about the potential of ketamine as an alternative depression and anxiety treatment.

Dr. Husted uses ketamine therapy to help people with depression and anxiety when traditional treatments have not been successful. His research and experience shows that ketamine works; and when combined with talk therapy, patients have found long term success in treating their mental illnesses.

In His Personal Time

Dr. Evan Husted enjoys being outdoors and discovering the attractions of Philadelphia during his leisure time. Dr. Husted also likes to spend time grilling, bicycling, and kayaking the creeks and rivers of South Jersey. He enjoys discovering all the great things that Pennsylvania has to offer.
